Os paso algo que he encontrado sobre las preposiciones de lugar IN, ON, AT, que en general van a corresponder con nuestro EN.
La mayor dificultad la ofrecen, creo yo, IN y AT.
Prepositions of place: at, in, on
In general, we use:
- on for a SURFACE (superficie)
| at | in | on |
| POINT | ENCLOSED SPACE | SURFACE |
| at the corner | in the garden | on the wall (pared) |
| at the bus stop | in London | on the ceiling (techo) |

| at the end of the road | in my pocket (bolsillo) | on the floor (suelo) |

| at the crossroads (cruce) | in a building / room | on the menu |
